Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between
the roles of parents in menstrual education and the behavior of menstrual
period in adolescent girls. This research used survey method with the
cross sectional time approach. The sampling techniques used in this
research were purposive sampling and proportionate stratified random
sampling with anumber of 87 respondents. The analysis technique to test
the hypothesis used Kendal Tau. The result of this research showed that
there was a correlation between the roles of parents in menstrual education
and the behavior of menstrual period (p=0.003) in adolescent girl. Students
are expected to be more active and critical, and have the willingness and
ability to obtain more information about reproductive health.
