The purpose of this study is to explore some factors affecting
the exclusive breastfeeding and the most dominant factor affecting the
exclusive breastfeeding. This study is an analytical survey study with
cross sectional approach. The samples which were taken by purposive
sampling resulted in a number of 93 mothers who had children at age of
7-12 months. The data were collected in June 2012. The data was
analyzed by using chi-square test showed that mother’s maternal parity
(p=0.041), maternal employment (p=0.043), knowledge (p=0.029),
maternal attitude (p=0.043) and maternal measures (p=0.005) had
significant relationship with exclusive breastfeeding. Meanwhile, family/
husband support (p=0,646) had no meaningful relationship with exclusive
