FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF

The purpose of this study is to explore some factors affectingthe exclusive breastfeeding and the most dominant factor affecting theexclusive breastfeeding. This study is an analytical survey study withcross sectional approach. The samples which were taken by purposivesampling resulted in a number of 93 mothers who had children at age of7-12 months. The data were collected in June 2012. The data wasanalyzed by using chi-square test showed that mother’s maternal parity(p=0.041), maternal employment (p=0.043), knowledge (p=0.029),maternal attitude (p=0.043) and maternal measures (p=0.005) hadsignificant relationship with exclusive breastfeeding. Meanwhile, family/husband support (p=0,646) had no meaningful relationship with exclusivebreastfeeding. Multiple logistic regression test results showed that themost decisive factors that significantly affected the exclusive breastfeedingwas the mothers’ act (OR=4,438).Keywords: exclusive breastfeeding, maternal parity, maternalemployment, mother’s knowledge, mother‘s attitude, mother’s act,familly/husband supportDownloads
