PENCEGAHAN RISIKO GANGGUAN JIWA PADA KELUARGA MELALUI MODEL PREVENTIVE CARE

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this quasi experiment study was to analyzethe effectiveness of Preventive Care Model toward risk of mentaldisorders on their family who care their patients in Banaran Village, Galur,Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Simple random sampling technique was usedto recruit 15 families who have patient mental disorders. Subjects weregiven a grouping intervention for 60 minutes that it was done four timesa month and it was done assesment the level of risk of psychiatric disordersbefore and after the intervention. The results of the analysis by usingWilcoxon Test Match show that the average risk of mental disordersscore before intervention is 60.33 and after intervention is 67.87, a declinein risk as much as 7.54. It can be concluded that preventive care modelsproven signicantly effective to decrease the risk of mental disorders infamilies with p value of 0.021 (p<0.05).Keywords: effectiveness of preventive care, mental disorders
