Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaningful experience
of people with HIV/AIDS who had a care treatment in their family. This
research is a qualitative research design with phenomenological descriptive
approach. The data collected by interviewing nine respondents
in Kulon Progo Regency and analyzed by using Collaizi technique. The
result of the study revealed 13 themes, those who declined and those
who accepted their HIV/AIDS in front of their family. Based on these
inventions of the themes above, it was expected for the district nurses
community to provide holistic family interpersonal skills course to the
families of people living with HIV/AIDS so that they could treat the
people with HIV emphatically.
