HUBUNGAN POLA ASUH IBU DENGAN TINGKAT KEPERCAYAAN DIRI ANAK USIA 4–6 TAHUN

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the relationship between the
mother’s parenting style and the self esteem of preschool children. This
descriptive correlation research was conducted toward 36 children in
Puspa Siwi II Kindergarten Banyuurip Margoagung Seyegan Sleman
District. Data analysis using Kendall Tau indicated that the most mother’s
parenting style were in medium level (52,8 %) and there was a significant
relationship between the mother’s parenting style and the self esteem of
preschool children (p=0.000, alpha=0.05). Furthermore parents could
provide their child a good education and upbringing to create a good
self-esteem child.
