HUBUNGAN POLA ASUH IBU DENGAN TINGKAT KEPERCAYAAN DIRI ANAK USIA 4–6 TAHUN

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the relationship between themother’s parenting style and the self esteem of preschool children. Thisdescriptive correlation research was conducted toward 36 children inPuspa Siwi II Kindergarten Banyuurip Margoagung Seyegan SlemanDistrict. Data analysis using Kendall Tau indicated that the most mother’sparenting style were in medium level (52,8 %) and there was a significantrelationship between the mother’s parenting style and the self esteem ofpreschool children (p=0.000, alpha=0.05). Furthermore parents couldprovide their child a good education and upbringing to create a goodself-esteem child.Keywords : mother’s parenting, child’s self-esteem level, children aged4-6 years
