Abstract

The purpose of this quasi experiment research is
to determine the effect of warm compress to the joints of
osteoarthritis pain in the elderly on Panti Wredha Budhi
Dharma, Yogyakarta. Sample of this research consist of 12
elderly who suffer from osteoarthritis joint pain, taken with
total sampling. Paired t-test showed effect of a warm compress
to the joint pain in the elderly (p = 0.000). independent
t test showed a differences decrease in joint pain, between
the control and experimental groups by 2.83 (p = 0.000;
average value = 2.83).
