FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN TEKNIK MENYUSUI PADA IBU PRIMIPARA

Abstract

The purpose of this quantitative with cross sectional
study is to explore factors affecting the mother’s breastfeeding
technique in the district of Alang-alang Lebar Palembang in
2012. Eghty five respondents were taken using purposive
sampling technique. The data was analyzed using chi-square
test, showed that mother’s age (p=0.018), maternal education
(p=0.017), maternal’s occupation (p=0.037), type of labors
(p=0.03) and maternal knowledge (p=0.039) had significant
relationship with breastfeeding technique. Multiple logistic
regression test showed most decisive factors that significantly
affected the technique of breastfeeding mother’s was the age
(OR=7,108).
