Abstract

The purpose of this quantitative research with crosssectional
approach was to analyze relationship between social
supports with participation of female sex workers (FSW) in
cervical cancer screening. Subjects were FSW at Pasar
Kembang Yogyakarta. Questionaire used to obtain data. Chisquare
analysis (X2), with p <0.05, shows significant correlation
between social support and respondent’s participation in
cervical cancer screening (p=0.007). Mann Whitney test
(p<0.05) shows difference in social support between respondent
who take cervical cancer screening with respondent who
doesn’t, with score of 2.505. Important to improve social
support so awareness and participation of FSW in cervical
cancer screening increased.
