Abstract

This pre-experiment research with one group pretest-post-test design aims at describing the effect of healtheducation child safety to parent behavior in accident preventionto toddler. Instrument research using questionnaires. Thepopulation comprised 24 subjects, using a total sampling technique,obtained 24 samples. Results of paired t-test analysison the knowledge (t=-12.275, p=0.000), attitude (t=-14.176,p=0.000) and practice (t=10.376, p=0.000), all resultsp<0.05. Concluded there was a significant effect of healtheducation to child safety to increase parental behavior inaccident prevention to toddler. Advised on health professionalscan provide information about child safety to parents of toddler.Key words: health education, child safety, accident preventionbehavior
