Abstract

The purpose of this cross-sectional research is to determine
the relationship between mother’s knowledge about how to care long
cord with a loose cord in infants in Puskesmas Pekuncen, Banyumas in
2013. The population is all the mothers who gave birth in December
2012-March 2013 number 70. Sampling using simple random sampling
technique obtained 41 mothers. The results showed that there is a
relationship between maternal knowledge about cord care with long
time off the umbilical cord to the baby in Puskesmas Pekuncen
Banyumas in 2013 (p value=0.013), smaller than α=0.05.
