About the Journal

The Journal of Health Promotion in Medicine (JHPMed) is published by the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA Yogyakarta). This journal is dedicated in advancing the science and practice of health promotion within the medical field, with a particular emphasis on the understanding, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion strategies across the five levels of prevention.Serving as a platform for research dissemination, policy analysis, and the sharing of best practices, the journal aims to enhance both patient and public health outcomes. It welcomes contributions from medical professionals, educators, students in medicine and health sciences, public health experts, policymakers, and researchers. By fostering the exchange of insights, experiences, and innovative approaches among stakeholders, the journal seeks to support the continuous improvement of health outcomes at both individual and population levels.

This journal is committed to open access, making all research freely available to the public. All published articles are immediately and permanently accessible for anyone to read and download. Peer Review Process

Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Initial Review processes by the Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to peer reviewers and will go to the next selection by the Blind Review Process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors for revision. These processes take three to four months for a maximum time. For each manuscript, peer reviewers will rate the substantial and technical aspects of peer reviewers who collaborate with The Journal of Health Promotion in Medicine.
