FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENGARUH SETTING FISIK TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN RUANG PEDESTRIAN OLEH SEKTOR INFORMAL (PKL)

Abstract

 The aim of this research is to identify the variety of commodities, the shape of physical setting and the activities of street vendors, and to know the factors of  physical setting impacts which is utilized  in buying and selling activities in pedestrian space, and to obtain the design guidelines. The reseach method used is rationalistic qualitative. The observation is done by directly observing and by using place centered map method. The results of analysis are : a)  the varieties of commodities which are dominant are food, non food and services, b) the shape of physical setting of street vendors is impacted by the factors of physical setting of road space in the form of the function of buildings/land, setback, territorial divider,  vegetation, and street furniture. Keywords: informal sector (street vendors), pedestrian space, physical setting of the road space Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi ragam komoditas, bentuk setting fisik dan aktivitas PKL, serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor pengaruh setting fisik apa saja yang dimanfaatkan oleh sektor informal (PKL) dalam melakukan aktivitas jual beli di ruang pedestrian, serta untuk mendapatkan arahan desain (design guidelines). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rasionalistik kualitatif. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan observasi langsung dan dengan metode place centered map. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah: a) ragam komoditas yang dominan adalah makanan, non makanan, dan jasa, b) bentuk setting fisik PKL dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor setting fisik ruang jalan berupa fungsi bangunan/lahan, setback, pembatas teritori, vegetasi, dan street furniture.
