EFEKTIVITAS METODE PERAWATAN LUKA MOISTURE BALANCE TERHADAP PENYEMBUHAN LUKA PADA PASIEN ULKUS DIABETIKUM

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness
of moisture balance wound care method in healing diabetic ulcers at
Wound Care Clinic, Faculty of Health Sciences, UMM. This study is a
pre-experimental research with prospective approach. The instrument
used in this research was observation sheet. The population in this study
was 40 people. The sample was taken by using accidental sampling
technique which obtained 12 respondents. The effectiveness of moisture
balance wound care method obtained mean of 28.4 before wound care
treatment and 19.3 after the treatment. Data analysis using paired sample
t-test showed that there was significant differences between pre- and
post-treatment with the moisture balance wound care method in patients
with diabetic ulcers (t=16.722, > t critic=2.201). It is recommended to
set the moisture balance wound care method as the standardized method
in wound care of diabetic ulcers. UMM’s Faculty of Health Sciences
can develop the related treatment toward other types of wound.
