Abstrak

Mahasiswa merupakan kelompok yang rentan mengalami penurunan fungsi kognitif akibat tuntutan akademik dan stres psikososial, yang dapat tercermin dalam meningkatnya cognitive failure seperti kesalahan perhatian, memori, dan kontrol perilaku. Kebiasaan aktivitas fisik ringan seperti stretching serta teknik relaksasi sederhana diduga berperan dalam menjaga fungsi kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kebiasaan stretching dan teknik relaksasi dengan tingkat cognitive failure pada mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional pada 100 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan UPN “Veteran” Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Cognitive Failure Questionnaire (CFQ) dan Stretching and Relaxation Questionnaire (SRQ), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat cognitive failure sedang (59,4%). Terdapat hubungan negatif signifikan antara frekuensi stretching dengan skor cognitive failure (r = -0,378; p = 0,001), serta hubungan negatif antara frekuensi relaksasi dengan skor cognitive failure. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif antara hambatan melakukan stretching dengan skor cognitive failure (r = 0,295; p = 0,003). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin rutin mahasiswa melakukan stretching dan relaksasi, semakin rendah tingkat cognitive failure yang dialami, sehingga kedua kebiasaan ini berpotensi menjadi bagian dari strategi promotif dalam menjaga fungsi kognitif mahasiswa.
