Abstract

Abstract: Open space for an urban area is a very important element because its existence is needed by a city environment that is increasingly crowded with buildings and pavements. One form of open space that is often found in urban areas is the square. This research was conducted to find out how the thermal comfort performance of Pati Square in a state of increasing air temperature. Then do a redesign based on the thermal comfort performance that has been analyzed. This research was conducted using a field survey method. While the data analysis method uses the Thermal Humidity Index (THI) method. The results showed that Pati square was included in the thermally uncomfortable category.
