Abstract

Lebih dari 50% wanita hamil mengeluhkan nyeri punggung  selama kehamilannya karena dalam masa kehamilan terdapat perubahan adaptasi anatomi, biokimia, serta fisiologi pada tubuh ibu hamil. Ibu hamil dengan nyeri punggung akan mengalami kesulitan dalam menjalani aktivitas sehari-hari. Lumbar stabilization exercise (LSE) merupakan latihan yang dapat mengaktivasi otot-otot trunk dan abdominal sehingga nyeri punggung berkurang dan meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional. Tujuan dari studi ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana LSE mempengaruhi aktivitas fungsional pada ibu hamil yang mengeluhkan nyeri punggung. Pemberian LSE dilakukan 3 sesi per minggu selama 6 minggu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental desain pre test and post test with control grup design. Subjek yang digunakan yaitu ibu hamil di wilayah kecamatan Kartasura yang mengalami nyeri punggung dengan jumlah 22 responden dengan dibagi 2 kelompok yakni: 1) kelompok eksperimen ialah ibu hamil yang mendapatkan LSE, 2) kelompok kontrol ialah ibu hamil yang hanya mengikuti aktivitas kelas hamil tiap bulannya. Kuesioner untuk mengukur aktivitas fungsional pada ibu hamil menggunakan Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire. Studi ini menemukan bahwa LSE berpengaruh pada aktivitas fungsional pada ibu hamil yang mengeluhkan nyeri punggung dengan p-value 0,000, dan ada perbedaan pengaruh antara kelompok eksperimen LSE dan kelompok kontrol dengan p-value = 0,001.
