Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Tennis elbow merupakan penyakit degeneratif atau peradangan pada origo grup otot exstensor wrist. Keluhan yang selalu muncul adalah nyeri yang tajam pada area lateral epicondyle siku, nyeri yang timbul bersifat konstan, dan akan membuat kelemahan pada otot-otot extensor di wrist sehingga mengakibatkan gangguan pada aktivitas sehari-hari dan dapat menurunkan kinerja dan produktivitas kerja seseorang. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh extracorporeal shock wave therapy dan ultrasound terhadap penurunan nyeri pada penderita tennis elbow. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan metode narrative review artikel berasal dari 3 database, yaitu Pedro, Pubmed, dan Google Schollar. Kriteria inklusi pada penelitian ini adalah artikel free full text yang membahas tentang extracorporeal shock wave therapy dan ultrasound terhadap penurunan nyeri pada tennis elbow yang di publish tahun 2017-2022 berbahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Hasil : Rata-rata nilai nyeri (VAS) pretest pada pemberian extracorporeal shock wave therapy sebesar 7,6 setelah pemberian intervensi selama 3-4 minggu didapatkan rata-rata nilai penurunan nyeri (VAS) posttest sebesar 4, pada pemberian ultrasound rata-rata nilai nyeri (VAS) pretest sebesar 7, setelah pemberian intervensi selama 2-4 minggu didapatkan rata-rata nilai penurunan nyeri (VAS) posttest sebesar 3,6 Kesimpulan: Pemberian extracorporeal shock wave therapy dan ultrasound efektif dalam mengurangi nyeri pada penderita tennis elbow.
